Customer Service Week runs from 5 to 9 October. The theme this year is the extra mile. You will see a lot of posters. Most of them thank the people who answer. This one is for the person they answer.

It is for the customer.

A business can look busy without you. It cannot be a business. The desk, the inbox, the calendar, and the policy on the wall: none of it has a point until someone trusts it with real work. You are that someone. You wrote. You called. You came back. You could have taken it elsewhere. You did not.

That choice is easy to forget on an ordinary Tuesday. The week exists so it is not forgotten. Not as a campaign. As a pause. Long enough to say the thing that usually gets squeezed out by the next task.

Thank you for the trust. Thank you for the brief, even when it arrived in a hurry. Thank you for the patience when the first reply was not the one you needed. Thank you for telling us what good looks like, sometimes in a kind sentence, sometimes by asking again. We learn the standard from you. We do not invent it.

A customer is not a ticket number. A customer is the reason the ticket exists. When the reply is late, you do not see the meeting that ran long. You see silence. When the reply is clear, you see a company that can be relied on. That is the whole weight of the relationship. It sits on small moments. A name used properly. A next step that is real. A follow-up that actually goes.

We appreciate you for staying through the ordinary weeks, not only this one. The extra mile, if it means anything, is not a slogan on a poster. It is the decision to treat your time as carefully as we treat our own.

So this one is simply to say thank you. We appreciate you. This week is yours.
